A bill of 84,000 split between 4 people is 21,000 each.
A bill of 50,000 among 3 people is 16,666.67 each; rounding up to the nearest 10 charges 16,670 and collects 10 more than the total.
What the split assumes
Everyone consumed the same amount, so the division is exact and ignores individual orders. Rounding up deliberately over-collects by up to nine units per person, and the leftover is shown so it can be tipped, refunded or kept by the payer. Add service charge and tax to the total before splitting.

- Why offer a round-up at all?
- Transfers are easier in round amounts, so the payer collects a simple figure that covers the bill and keeps the small surplus rather than chasing fractions.
- What if someone did not share a dish?
- Split that dish separately: divide only the shared items equally and charge personal orders to whoever placed them.
- Should the tip be part of the split?
- Yes. The tip belongs to the bill and is normally shared equally unless the group agreed to a different rule.
